Coordinated Entry is a collaborative initiative designed to create a more effective and efficient homeless response system. A coordinated entry system is defined as a coordinated process designed to coordinate program participant intake, assessment, and provision of referrals, which covers the entire geographic area. It must be easily accessed by individuals and families seeking housing or services, well-advertised, and include a comprehensive and standardized assessment tool.
